Like all dachshunds, Frankie may have been small, but he had the confidence of a much larger dog. Originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers, dachshunds are natural diggers with strong prey instincts. Frankie took this heritage seriously.
Every morning, he patrolled the fence line.
